Designer's Showcase

Meet the Artist ... Keith Burns

After attending a woodworking show and seeing a woodturning demonstration by Ray Allen, Keith became interested in woodturning. He purchased a modest lathe and some tools, and then started to train himself on the basics of turning. Keith considers himself to be a minimalist turner, meaning that he does not typically use carving or other embellishments in his work. He considers himself to be a student of form and prefers working with discarded woods or exotic woods, and is always amazed at the beauty that is found. Keith welcomes your questions and comments, and can be reached by e-mail at kburns@kbjb.net.
