Designer's Showcase

Meet the Artist ... David DeCristoforo

David began his “woodworking career” in the early 1960s, making furniture pieces in his father’s shop. In the mid 1980s, it became very “trendy” to have finely crafted cabinetry and woodwork in expensive homes, and at that point, David began to focus on “high-end” casework and architectural woodwork. In turning, he has discovered a way to satisfy, once again, the irrepressible urge to make things. David has been fascinated by the many fine turnings he has seen and would love to incorporate elements like piercing, carving, and texturing into his pieces.
