Sattelite dish

Postby Machineartist » Thu Jul 09, 2009 2:45 pm

This piece was on display in the instant gallery at the symposium in Richmond last year.
The dish is elm and 14 inches diameter and 5 high the dish has a center of 4 pieces of tulipwood that are as well as possible bookmatched and then a blackwood antenna. The whole stands on a three pointed (footed) tulipwood base one visible in this photo. The piercing was done randomly and took alone over 60 hours. The rim of the dish is also finished with pyrography. Painted with acrylics and then many coats of wipe on poly.
Questions and comments welcome
Thankyou from Jeff Greenwood.
