A selection of spiral staircases in wood and brass

Postby Machineartist » Thu Jul 09, 2009 2:07 pm

Hello and here is my first photo showing a small variety of the turned art I create.
From left a 25 step brass staircase. 15 step lignum vitae. 37 stepped solid brass. Bubingia with 16 steps and Cherry with 17 steps. These are all turned from a single piece of brass or wood . The center brass one is with a blackwood bell base and the staircase itself is 8 and 1/2 inches high and the steps are 5mm thick and 1 and 1/8 diameter , this particular one took over 55 hours.
Questions and comments very welcome
All the best from Jeff Greenwood.
