Tulipwood and Blackwood

Tulipwood and Blackwood. About 8-1/2" tall, sanded to 800. The HF is finished with Seal-A-Cell and buffified.

I think what I like best about this piece (besides the usual incredible quality of all your pieces!) is the elevated nature of the piece - it is in just the right proportion to give it "lift" while still looking solid, if that makes sense. The wood seems almost to be floating and yet firmly supported by the base.

This is a beautiful piece, very inspiring!!

This is the kind of thing I want to be able to turn.... I think I have a long way to go.
