Beautiful form and great use of wood. Maybe you could share some of your tips for dealing with hollow forms that have inclusions or voids like this? What special measures do you take to preserve the area?

Thanks Robert. I don't really have any tips for you... this chunk had these two inclusions that were actually filled with bark. This piece was dry when I started on it, so I turned it to finished shape and then gently cleared out the bark leaving the voids.

Very nice job. It looks pretty uniform through the holes too.

What sort of boring tool did you use to do the inside?

Bill, I use a home-made Jamieson style hollowing setup with Scorpion (Don Pencil) boring bars. A couple of good friends helped me out with a D-handle and some tool rests that work great.

I have been try to use the MIDI Hollow master tool from Robert Sorby.
Has changeable blades and scraper.
It's a little difficult to get the feel for. Right now working on a cut off piece of walnut. Making a round bowl vase.
I'll send pictures when I get it done.
