Below you will find the supply lists for the projects featured in the Fall 2010 (#27) issue of Woodturning Design.

TRIPLE CAPTIVE RING PEN

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Pen kit of choice (Woodcraft, European Style used here)
Wood blank ¾” X ¾” X 5” – African Blackwood
Mylands High Build Friction Polish or finish of choice
Hot Stuff, Super T medium cyanoacrylate glue(CA or superglue)
Assorted grits of abrasive paper--120 to 500 grit
Micro-Mesh Soft Touch Pads--grades 1500 - 12000
Soft cloths
Q-tips type applicators
Masking tape

TOOLS NEEDED:
Lathe with assorted standard turning tools; skew, roughing gouge, parting tool;
Pin drill and custom right angle turning tool blade;
Modified Black & Decker NaviGator metal saw blade (#74-593);
Xacto blade (modified X104 blade) and handle of choice;
Dremel rotary tool,
small diamond carving bits
buffing wheel (Dremel 401 polishing wheel).
6” caliper (or smaller)

4-jawed chuck with #1 jaws, or equivalent

PEANUT CANDY DISPENSER

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Sanding supplies.
Wood glue, Q-Tips or shop rags for glue clean up.
¼” x 1" dowels
⅜” wooden button plug
Spray finish of choice
Pint, Ball, Mason or Kerr regular pint jars
Cork pads for the bottom to protect table tops
Wide mouth, pint, Ball, Mason or Kerr jars for gum ball dispensers.

TOOLS NEEDED:
Table saw with ripping and cross cut blades.
Band saw.
Drill press with ¼” and ⅜” drill bits
Lathe with assorted chisels
Screw chuck, and OneWay Talon chuck equilivent, larger chuck for the gum ball dispenser.
Pneumatic brad nail gun with ⅝” brads
Freud Quadra Cut Router Beading and Roman Ogee Bits*
Calipers and or divider

TOOLS NEEDED:
Table saw with ripping and cross cut blades.
Band saw.
Drill press with ¼” and ⅜” drill bits
Lathe with assorted chisels

7-½” dispenser for peanut dispenser 4 each
8-½” dispenser for gum balls 4 each
3-¾” body for peanut dispenser 9 each

5-½” peanut dispenser bottom or gum ball top 6 each
6-¼” gum ball bottom
