| Designer's Showcase Guidelines: | ||||||||||||||
| There is a tremendous amount of excellent work being done in turner’s shops that never gets any recognition. Woodturning Design hopes to change that by offering turners a forum to display their work in the Designer’s Showcase. Suggestions: Photographs: One of my goals will be to feature high quality, detailed, step-by-step photos. Either 35mm "flat" photos or slides are acceptable but digital photos are the preferred format. If there is any question about your photography skills, please submit a sample of your work prior to sending the actual images for the article. Poor images will be rejected and you will be asked to re-shoot the photos before publication. Please use the highest resolution on your camera when shooting your digital photos and please submit a “contact sheet” with the photos printed out. And be sure to consider lighting and background clutter when staging your photos! Please download the form or provide the following information: your name, address, telephone number, number of years turning, object and/or turning style, wood or material used, other materials, finish used, dimensions, a short bio, and discuss any design inspirations and/or reasons for creating the turning and mail it along with your photographs to: Designer’s Showcase c/o: Editor, Woodturning Design, 1882 St. Rt. 45, N. Rock Creek, Ohio 44084. If you need more information, please contact the editor. |
